Floating Trash on Tidung Island Transported

Public Facilities and Infrastructures (PPSU) personnel picked up floating trash which filled south Jembatan Cinta water territorial, Tidung Island, South of Seribu Islands.

Trash were transported with eight motorbikes carts. Jembatan Cinta is Seribu Islands' icon that must always be clean

 

"Trash were transported with eight motorbikes carts. Jembatan Cinta as Seribu Islands' icon must always be clean," said Cecep Suryadi, Tidung Island Sub-district head, Friday (1/20).

Tourists Invited to Decrease Trash Volume in Seribu Islands

Cecep explained that the territory is very vulnerable to be dirty by floating trash from Tangerang when big waves come.

"Since morning, trash were picked up by our PPSU personnel. This usually happens when southwest wind blows," he closed.

From beritajakarta.com's observation on location, those floating trash were from household waste, bamboo branch to banana stem.
